Dr. Yousef A. Y. Jasem is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business Studies at the Arab Open University, Kuwait Branch. He holds a PhD in Economics and Finance from Brunel University London, United Kingdom. His academic work focuses on the fields of corporate governance, CEO characteristics, earnings management, accounting, and financial reporting. Dr. Jasem has developed strong expertise in empirical financial research and quantitative analysis, particularly using econometric methods to examine corporate behaviour in capital markets. In addition to his research interests, he is committed to promoting high standards of academic integrity, analytical thinking, and professional development among his students. His scholarly work contributes to contemporary debates in accounting and finance, particularly in relation to governance structures and financial transparency within listed companies.
Dr. Yousef teaches a range of undergraduate modules in accounting, finance, and economics.
