Dr. Hassan Sharafuddin is an Assistant
Professor of Economics, specializing in the Department of Economics at the
Business Studies section of the Arab Open University – Kuwait, affiliated with
the Open University – UK. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Sana'a
University, Yemen, and completed his Master’s degree (M.A.) in Economic
Development from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, then his PHD in Economics from Cairo University, Egypt, 1990. With over
25 years of experience in both industry and academia, he has published
approximately 20 articles in various local and international indexed journals.
In addition to his academic and
research pursuits, he founded the Computer and Information Center at Sanaá
University. This center is dedicated to equipping students with the essential
skills required to apply computer applications in business and management
studies effectively. His primary research interests lie in the fields of
Economic Development and the Digital Economy, where he focuses on integrating
digital tools and technologies to enhance economic growth and development.
