Dr. Hosam received his PhD in Accounting from Ain shams
university in collaboration with Glasgow-Caledonian university in 2011. His teaching experience includes teaching
several accounting courses in a variety of class sizes and different teaching environments,
coordinating with other colleagues, and supervising postgraduate students pursuing
their master’s degree in collaboration with other colleagues.
He has over thirty-two years teaching experience as a
teaching assistant, assistant lecturer, and assistant professor at Ain Shams
University and other prestigious universities in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain,
and Kuwait, where he was able to establish an easy rapport with undergraduate
and postgraduate students and pique their interest in accounting. His teaching
evaluations revealed that students valued his enthusiasm and knowledge of his subjects,
as well as his ability to lead discussions in an inclusive manner.
He is currently working as an assistant professor of Accounting
at AOU Kuwait, where he is committed to providing his students with the knowledge,
skills, and expertise necessary to succeed in their careers. His research interests
include performance measurement and evaluation, earnings management, non-financial performance measures, financial
reporting, corporate risk disclosure, corporate social responsibility, and corporate
governance.
