Professional Biography

Dr. Rania Yacoub is an Assistant Professor of Translation and Linguistics with over 14 years of experience teaching translation, linguistics, and English language courses at various universities in Jordan and Kuwait. She is also CELTA certified. Currently, Dr. Yacoub serves as the Assistant Dean at the Arab Open University Headquarters. Her research interests focus on enhancing translation training, conducting multidisciplinary studies with a strong emphasis on translation, and exploring other domains within linguistics. She has a particular passion for audio-visual translation. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Yacoub has extensive professional experience, having worked on numerous translation projects including consecutive translation, subtitling, dubbing, and literary translation.
