Dr. Aws Ismail Sami Abu Eid is an Assistant Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the Arab Open University – Kuwait Branch. He obtained his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Big Data and Cloud Computing from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIZA), Malaysia (2021). He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Systems from Jordan.
Dr. Abu Eid has more than 16 years of academic, research, and industrial experience across Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. He previously served at Northern Border University and Al-Jouf University in multiple academic and administrative leadership roles, including Quality Unit Director, AI Course Coordinator, IT Manager, and member of accreditation and quality assurance committees.
His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Data Mining, NLP, and AI applications in healthcare and education. He has published extensively in Scopus and ISI-indexed journals and IEEE conferences. He is also the founder of AOU GPT, an AI-powered academic assistant integrating generative AI with university curricula.
