Dr. Dalal Aloumi is an Assistant Professor at the Arab-Open University, Kuwait branch. She holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow, where she specialized in Finance, and a Master's in Finance from Cardiff Business School, as she graduated with Merit and a distinction for her dissertations. With her strong educational background and expertise, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Her research interests primarily revolve around corporate finance, FinTech, IPOs, risk management, and Islamic finance. Dr. Aloumi is dedicated to advancing scholarly research and contributing to the academic community through her teaching and publications. Her commitment to excellence in education and research makes her highly respected and influential.

Since September 2022, Dr. Dalal Aloumi has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the Arab Open University – Kuwait branch, where she teaches a range of undergraduate modules including Marketing and Finance, Financial Accounting, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Introduction to Business, and Shaping Business Opportunities.
In September 2025, she was appointed Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, where she contributes to academic leadership, programme development, and quality assurance initiatives within the faculty.
Prior to joining the Arab Open University, Dr. Aloumi served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Glasgow, UK, where she taught Master’s-level students in the Corporate Finance and Investment module. She also gained professional experience as an Insurance Researcher at the Public Institution for Social Security in Kuwait.
