د. أحمد القطان حاليًا أستاذ مساعد وكان سابقًا مساعدًا لعميد كلية الأعمال والقانون. قام د. أحمد بنشر ٤٠ بحثًا محكمًا في المجلات الأكاديمية، واربع فصول واثنين من الكتب الدولية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، شارك في تنظيم العديد من اللجان، وكان مناقشًا ومقدمًا في أكثر من 58 مؤتمرًا دوليًا. تتمحور مجالات أبحاثه الرئيسية حول حوكمة الشركات وإدارة الأرباح وأداء الشركات. حصل على العديد من الجوائز، مثل جائزة أفضل ورقة علمية لعام 2019 من مؤتمر التحديات البعدية للاقتصاد المالي، وجائزة أفضل ملصق لعام 2019 من مؤتمر البحث والابتكار الخامس عشر، وجائزة الورقة الأكثر مشاهدة لعام 2019. كما حصل د. أحمد على لقب "فخر الكويت" من الهيئة العامة للشباب في عام 2019. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، حصل القطان على المركز الخامس في جائزة البحوث المحاسبية في الكويت عام 2021. د. القطان هو المحرر الرئيسي المشارك في ثماني مجلات دولية. كما حصل على شهادة CertIFR الدولية المهنية في المعايير المالية الدولية، ACCA، المملكة المتحدة (2021)، وشهادة CertIA الدولية المهنية في التدقيق الدولي، ACCA، المملكة المتحدة (2022)، وشهادة CertIPSAS الدولية المهنية في المعايير الدولية للقطاع العام، ACCA، المملكة المتحدة (2022)، وحصل على لقب الزمالة (FHEA)، المملكة المتحدة.
