Professional Biography

Bachelor of Arts in English in Language and Literature, American University of Beirut, 1996.

Master of Fine Arts in Literary Translation, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, USA, 2000.

Lecturer of Linguistics and Translation in the Faculty of Language at the Arab Open University, Kuwait. Actively involved in student advising, course equivalency, new student orientation, and new tutor induction at FLS, AOU.  

Interested in areas of Linguistic Landscape, Effectiveness of Feedback and Motivation on Student Learning, Language Use and the Effects of Globalization, and Translation Challenges within Cultural Contexts. Worked on translations of literary texts in modern poetry and fiction, in addition to different texts on economics, sociology, architecture, and the arts.
