When I completed my High School in 1991, I wanted to continue graduation in English Literature, but because of lack of money I couldn’t travel to Jordan to pursue my passion. So I started to educate myself by myself, by watching KTV-CH2, talking to foreigners, also I practiced speaking English with my co-workers and people who speak English, until I resigned from my job in 2011. When I got my indemnity I decided to invest it in my education in order to fulfill my dream.
In 2013, I decided to enroll myself in the Arab Open University, so I applied to take the placement test and I was accepted into level two which is 98. I was so proud of myself passing level one. I was so happy walking around the university. Looking at my grey hair everyone thought that I was a teacher, but I proudly replied to them that I am a student.
It wasn’t easy for the first two years, because I struggled due to my shrinking mind. After more than 20 years I had to reactivate my brain to study.
In 2016 I was depressed, but I persevered and I didn’t give-up. In 2017, I no longer had enough money to complete my education. But my loving God blessed me with my current job and I completed my education. I graduated in 2018 with very good grades.
I have spent the most wonderful 5 years in my life at AOU (from September 2013-May 2018) I have never missed a single class. I used to attend even when I was sick.
