Dr. Sawsan Malik joined the faculty of business
studies in September 2021. She obtained her PhD in business and management from
University of Stirling (UK). Also, she has two masters’ degree, an (MBA),
Master of Business Administration and (MRes), Master of Research in Business and
Management. She previously taught at the University of Stirling where she was a
doctoral researcher. Particular areas of interest are entrepreneurship focusing
on entrepreneurial process, Home-Based Businesses, informal economy, formalisation
of informal entrepreneurship and business growth. Her expertise includes
teaching new venture creation modules, qualitative research methods, strategic
human resource management, and employee learning and development. She is also a
peer reviewer for many well-known academic journals: Journal of entrepreneurship
in emerging economies, Revista de Gestão, Journal of hospitality and tourism
insights, international journal of contemporary hospitality, humanities and social sciences communications. She acts as Steering
committee, Member of European Union project hub since April 2022. Moreover, she is currently working as an Editor for Frontiers.
