Faculty of Education Studies
The Faculty of Education is responsible for the offering of three programs. All courses have been designed under the direct supervision of the Faculty. The language of tutoring in these programs is Arabic.

Behavioral and Professional Requirements
These requirements aim at providing the student with the needed theoretical knowledge and practical skills so as to contribute effectively in the educational process. These requirements include (17) compulsory courses with a total of (54) credit hours. These courses are:

These requirements aim at providing the student with the needed theoretical knowledge and practical skills so as to contribute effectively in the educational and teaching process. These requirements include 11 compulsory courses with a total of 30 credit hours.

Specialization Requirements:
The programme includes two tracks: Domain teacher and class teacher. The student specifies one of these two majors when applying for admission. The student has to complete 20 credit hours to fulfill the specialization requirements he/she has registered in.
Domain Track:
This track qualifies for teaching higher classes in the elementary stage of school. The student who wishes to register in this track should choose one of the following field: Arabic language, English language, Science and Mathematics. Each field of the above includes five 5 courses, 4 credit hours for each course. These courses include the following:

Post Graduate Diploma In Education
Programme Requirements:
The student has to complete 35 credit hours to get the Higher Diploma. Due to the nature of the open education adopted by the Arab Open University, the student is not obliged to complete the programme within a specific period of time. The student registers the credit hours pursuant to his/her circumstances and conditions (whether social or practical). The programme’s requirements are divided as follows:
University general requirements, domain requirements and elective requirements. All courses are presented in Arabic Language.
University General Requirements
These requirements aim at developing the student’s skills in the independent learning fields and the use of the computer and internet. These requirements are compulsory by nature and include two courses of 3 credit hours for each course, with a total of 6 credit hours. These courses are:

Domain Requirements:
The domain requirements are linked directly with the programme’s objectives which aim at providing the student with the needed theoretical knowledge and practical skills so as to contribute effectively in the educational and teaching process. The Hundreds: marks the subject level according to its presentation in the first, second , third and fourth years.
