  • The AOU adopts a system of open admission, taking into account available human and financial resources. Applicants must hold the general secondary school certificate. Applicants who are holders of intermediate diplomas/degrees issued by Community Colleges or students of such institutions who wish to continue their education at the AOU will be carefully considered and some of the credit hours or study units they had earned may be credited in accordance with the requirements of the study program for which they register. The AOU intends to open registration for its students around June of 2002. Registration arrangements will be announced
    within a media campaign to be launched at a later stage.

  • Tuition fees
    
    The University is currently undertaking a careful assessment of fees and related study expenses such as the cost of course packages in order to agree on reasonable figures which would allow the largest possible number of learners to join the AOU.
    
    Fees may be in the range of $1,200-$1,500 USD, to which the cost of study packages, and other fees are added, estimated at around $300 USD.
